We love games in Youth Ministry, and we always love finding new ones. Recently, we added a way for our awesome Youth Ministry Community to submit ideas, games and resources to the site, and Katy Johnston did just that with this game that sounds pretty awesome.
Here is what she gave us:
Balloon Russian Roulette.
Call up four volunteers. Give them a garbage bag with holes open for their head and arms before blindfolding the students. In a big box or plastic tote, have 20 balloons ready, of which four are filled with shaving cream. Once everyone is situated, help students grab a balloon out of the box. When everyone has a balloon, tell them they must pop it (we had forks ready, but they were able to pop them with their hands). Eliminate the student covered in shaving cream and continue on until only one player is left.
My only recommendation-make sure you have extra time to get the shaving cream in the balloons.
So let us know if you use this game, how it goes, and any ways you find to improve it. Thanks Katy for being our first submission!
