A generalized view of youth ministry will review that youth workers are nearly expected to use social media for their ministry. We have all these expectations from senior pastors, what other ministries are doing, and wanting to reach as many students as possible with a deep Gospel. The problem is that there is no direct data to support the fact that social media is a necessity. We can see how they might create relationships, but are youth workers actually using it for professional and ministry purposes? We know that people are using it, but are they being effective with what they do? Does the purpose of social media lead to salvation and mentoring or simply friendship?
Want to help us understand better how Social Media is actually used in Youth Ministry? Here is the link: Youthmin.org Survey
As Youthmin.org’s mission to be real, hit on real issues, and be thought leaders and authorities within the youth ministry sphere, we want to have a professional study on this topic to speak from a place of wisdom and further the discussion in a proactive and effective approach instead of assumptions or unfounded generalizations.
We want every youth pastor to take this survey.
We believe the best and greatest learning from this survey will come the more responses we get, and so we’ve thrown in some incentives, that we think are pretty sweet, to reward you for the handful of minutes this survey will take. What that means for you is if you complete the entire survey (link below), you will get some freebies which include:
$10 in free marketplace money to spend
$30 worth of free social media and online engagement eBooks to help your church and youth group.
1 out of every 100 entries will win a free Bundle of Awesome from the marketplace
Insider access to the Youthmin.org Newsletter
What About the Results
When we get the results, we plan to sift through the data, do a bunch of mathematical statistics, come up with solutions for how youth ministry can use social media better based on this data, and compile it all into an eBook. Of course we will offer the eBooks to you in the marketplace and definitely will make an announcement in the future when all is said and done.
If you are ready to join in, go take the survey here.
Please note that this is an official youth ministry research survey. You can only submit one survey per person. You must be a recognized youth worker, whether paid or volunteer, church or parachurch ministries. Any falsification of information or duplication of entries will result in loss of entry, denial of entry to any future contests or giveaways, and possible legal ramifications. Only completed surveys will be able to receive the above gifts, and partial submissions will be completely discarded.
